Anatomy and Physiology
Anatomy and Physiology | Foundations of Anatomy and Physiology introduces students to the structure and function of the human body. Students begin with foundational skills in scientific terminology, chemistry, and cellular biology, along with safe use of lab equipment, before exploring the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. The second semester builds on this knowledge, covering the cardiovascular, respiratory, lymphatic and immune, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Through research, wet labs, group activities, quizzes, exams, and a capstone project where students design models to demonstrate physiological functions, students will develop the skills they need for college-level work and careers in the health professions.
