REWARDS
REWARDS | The Rewards program is an intensive course that teaches students a flexible strategy for decoding grade level multisyllabic words. This course helps to increase their fluency with verbal and silent reading and expands their knowledge of vocabulary. Students will alternate between preskilled lessons which can be completed in one class period and strategy lessons which may require two class periods. This course gives students a high level of support and instructions " I do it, we do , you do it" , encouraging gradual independence and confidence in becoming a fluent reader. Completing this course will help students obtain better reading skills by using the strategies taught in class. Rewards can serve as an asset to these students because it will help them in other subject areas and in their everyday life.
