Russian | In this course, students will dive into the Russian language and culture by starting with the Cyrillic alphabet and learning how to pronounce key sounds. Along the way, they’ll practice basic grammar—like nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pronouns—and see how gender plays an important role in building simple sentences. Students will also discover how language shapes Russian culture, from traditional etiquette and modern ways of speaking to written styles and popular media. To round out the experience, the class will explore Russian traditions, including religion, the two calendars still used today, and the lively holiday season, giving students both practical language skills and a deeper understanding of Russian life.
