Monday, January 4th: Journal

2020 reflection

We are currently living through an event that will be in the history books in the future. When you are old, people will ask you what it was like to live through this. Because of this, we will be creating our own journal entries to keep track of our feelings, so in the future you will have your own primary source to look back on to understand what you were feeling and your thoughts throughout this time. Each week I will give you a prompt to complete.

You must type at least a page, double spaced, 12 point font to receive credit.

For your response this week you can choose to respond to any of the prompts below or just free write:
1. What was the worst parts of 2020?
2. What were the best parts of 2020?
3. What did the pandemic teach you?
4. What are your personal goals for 2021?
5. What are your academic goals for the 2021?
6. When do you think life "will be back to normal?" Do you think it ever will be?

Wednesday, November 25th: Give Thanks! in Google Classroom

Wednesday, November 25th: Give Thanks!

2020 has been rough.

For "homework," let's spread some positivity and try to make it a little nicer. In honor of Thanksgiving, think of someone who has helped you get through 2020: A teacher who has helped you, a friend who has shown you a tv show to binge watch so you don't die of boredom, your family for sharing a space with you when you're locked in, your neighbor for letting you steal their wifi, the guy at the store for making a great sandwich.... whoever has made 2020 suck a little less for you.

Reach out to one person and thank them for making 2020 a little less rough-- We could all use a little love right now! Once you are done fill out the google doc so I can give you credit.

Have a great Thanksgiving, and take a well deserved school mental health break Thursday-Sunday.
