Geometry

Geometry | Geometry is the branch of mathematics that deals with the measurements, properties, and relationships of points, lines, planes, and solids. The word “geometry” comes from the Greek words geo and met, meaning “earth measuring.” After successfully completing Geometry, students will be prepared to excel on the SAT exam and move on to study even more advanced fields of mathematics, culminating in Calculus. The critical thinking and problem-solving skills that students develop in this class will be helpful in other courses and in any career they choose to pursue. This course culminates in June with the Geometry Regents Exam.
