Participation in Government | The Participation in Government Course at Bronx Collegiate Academy is a one-semester course designed to provide students with an engaging exploration of the foundations of government, society, and the American political system. As a graduation requirement, this course brings local, state, and national politics to life and helps students become active participants in the political process. The knowledge gained will prepare students to make well-informed decisions both as individuals and as members of a democratic society. Students will develop a critical understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the American political system, along with their own rights, identities, and responsibilities. Because this course takes place during a highly controversial time in our nation, a significant portion of instruction will be dedicated to analyzing and making sense of current events.
