Choose which assignment you wish to complete.

Imitate: Write a one-page story (or just describe something that happened to you), mixing languages in the style of Lopera. Make English your base language. Use Spanish, Twi, French, Slang, or any language or dialect you wish.
--OR--
Review/Critique: Write a one-page literary review of Lopera’s story. Think about the writer’s choices regarding tone, techniques, etc. and explain the EFFECTS those have on the reader.

Look over the sample review IF you're doing the review. Answer the Q's and follow the format.

Look over the sample SOAPSTONE -IF- you're doing the creative piece and use it to help you brainstorm which NARRATIVE TECHNIQUES you will use.
